SHOW REVIEW: THREE HEADED MONSTER @ BACK ALLEY CALGARY
WHOOP WHOOP!! They’ve done it again! From the Canadian powerhouse promotion team of F7 Entertainment Group (the ones who brought us Destroyer, Steel Panther, Grandson, and soon to be on the roster in November - Avatar!) brings the slaughterhouse trio, Three Headed Monster - consisting of Violent J of the Insane Clown Posse, Ouija Macc, and the infamous Esham - to one of Calgary Alberta’s most recognized venues for an outstanding performance. The Back Alley is one of Calgary’s most audacious spaces when it comes to auspicious events and they never fail to please.
After the cancellation of ICP’s Gathering Of The Juggalos tour in 2020, due to coronavirus, there were many fully painted up juggalos and juggalettes eager to reap the fine horror rap benefits that Psychopathic Records has never failed to bring. As well as many others wearing their merch just to show their pride for the family that they call the Dark Carnival. Although there was no spraying of Faygo all over the crowd (they made do with water instead) and the crowd loved every clown-painted minute of it.
Sporting tracks for the original and the newer generations of juggalos on Violent J’s side, as well as crowd favourites from Ouija Mac and Esham, along with the new Three Headed Monster original songs, the crowd had no choice but to go ‘insane’. With a much bigger turnout than anticipated, the staff had their work cut out for them - but only in sales, as the juggalos kept true to their heritage, being kind and respectful; as is the Dark Carnival nature. There are future shows in store for the Insane clown Posse in Calgary, and definitely a growing following. We are all looking forward to the next show, and I’ll probably be painted up myself next time! - JA & Photos by: MS
